On this year's iPhone 11 series, Apple decided to remove the 3D Touch feature on the iPhone, and replace it with another technology called Haptic Touch.
While it may seem less noticeable, these two technologies will change the way Apple uses. So what are these two technologies? And how are they different? Invite you to join me to find out right in this article!

#first. Concept of 3D Touch and Haptic Touch

3D Touch Touch recognition feature on the iPhone screen, capable of recognizing touch force (strong or light) or hold, to give different feedback. This feature appeared from the iPhone 6S, until iPhome XS Max, and to the iPhone 11 series, it was replaced.
Specifically, when you touch lightly, the device will react as usual: Surfing, opening applications, performing operations as usual…. When you touch a force strong enough, the machine will interpret the expanded settings or quick operations of that application.
And technology Haptic Touch then like most Android devices today, the machine responds to the operation on the screen will depend on the time of touch or hold.
And when you hold it long enough, it will allow you to move icons or perform quick App tasks, while also vibrating slightly. This is an improvement of Taptic Touch technology that has been around for a long time.

#2. Compare 3D Touch with Haptic Touch

The first iPhone to have Haptic Touch was the iPhone XR, but this was a reduction in the functionality of an Apple "affordable" machine, so no one noticed. Until the iPhone 11 Serie debuted, this cut was really concerned.
The reason Apple ditched 3D Touch technology on the iPhone XR is simple: reduce production costs. Because 3D Touch requires a load cell under the screen, and imagine how many units it sold, how much money they saved.

On the iPhone 11 series, this cut is probably because they are having problems integrating sensors under OLED panels.
Removing 3D Touch can give you extra area for the size of the sensor, the battery, or some other part. This will benefit the configuration of the following iPhone lines.
If comparing the features, both are the same. However, 3D Touch gives users the ability to manipulate faster and is one of the more futuristic technologies than Haptic Touch.
For example: 3D Touch will have 3 ways to respond to your actions on the screen: Select, preview content or quick action, while with Haptic Touch, you can only select and preview, or select and fast operation only.
The truth is that not many people use 3D Touch on the old iPhone, even many people do not know its existence, but when Apple removed this feature on the new iPhone, it was a pity. That's really strange ^^!

# 3. Conclude

There are things when you lose and find it useful and regret, here I am talking about 3D Touch technology on the iPhone. Haptic Touch is an equivalent replacement for 3D Touch in basic tasks, but it is less advanced technology.
Have you used 3D Touch before? And do you regret when Apple removed 3D Touch technology on the iPhone? Leave a comment about your experience below the post!
