Update Facebook - Facebook launches updates and new features all the time.

This post is about the new experiment Facebook is performing with the Facebook Group. More than 1 billion people are using Facebook groups, which are now a huge part of the Facebook community and have grown for a long time. The Facebook group is also important for Facebook because it has a higher engagement rate than normal wall posts and businesses, characters / public actors, or everyone else can create their own community. .

From Facebook product manager Alex Deve, Facebook is currently testing a paid subscription for the Facebook team.

These are just a handful of websites that will have access to this extra feature, but if Facebook gets a good response from this, they will roll it out to everyone someday.

The Facebook group is still an unused position for Facebook in terms of advertising, which means this will be a potential revenue increase if they decide to create ads within the group or cut back on the paid group.

Why does Facebook want to check out paid subscription groups?

Facebook wants to test paid groups because it's mostly all content creators who make a lot of content. Will be DIY gardening, home recipes and similar content creators sharing knowledge, tips and skills.

Some groups will try this, for example, Sarah Mueller, who founded my home declaration group with more than 40,000 members at the time of this writing. As shown below is a screenshot illustrating the interface of paid groups (eg Facebook).

The reason for doing so is for content creators to provide higher quality and better content for audiences. When content is paid, they will invest a lot in content.

The content will be available in several different variations but these are the most popular variants at the moment:

  • Video content

  • Live video

  • Pictures

  • Posts

  • Category

  • Support (from texting or commenting)

  • Exclusive premium products / services
According to the announcement, the paid team will be provided as a subscription service and allow an administrator to charge $ 4.99 to $ 29.99 per month for each subscription. Facebook hasn't cut this down so far, but as mentioned earlier they will do in the future.

What this means for content creators and admins

This is another great way for content creators to monetize the business / audience they target. They can have normal groups, paid groups and offer 2 different types of content or just provide support and assistance to the paid group members. You can do this in a variety of ways (if Facebook decides to grant you this feature) and have gotten pretty good feedback from the creators.

Sarah Mueller said in an interview on Facebook

"I will be able to provide this new community with a more interactive way to have an organizer, while keeping the original group as a strong community to get free advice."

Facebook has confirmed that they will continue to evaluate and optimize the test team to better understand and find out how members feel and react to this. As a result, the interface and features will also be changed during the beta period due to several continuous improvements.

This will be interesting to keep track of both businesses, as well as users, content creators, and how this will affect the way people share content and knowledge, etc. On Facebook.

How paid subscription groups work

To join a paid group, you must be a member of the group that was not originally paid, or in other words, just a normal group.

Once this group has achieved considerable scale and popularity, Facebook will decide if they want the administrator to provide this paid feature, if so, members who have joined the group will be subscribed. Paid version. The smart thing is that the members are now approved by the administrator so they are ready to register now. Members will see the available feature preview card (as shown in the screenshot above) in the paid version before signing up.

Members will be charged for registration and pay the same day next month. This prevents members from registering, stealing all content and leaving before the payment period begins or fails to pay the full price. However, members will unsubscribe from the paid group at any time and everything is handled within Facebook itself. Both for administrators and for users.

This is a great way to help creators do what they love, as well as increase the quality of their audiences, because of this monetization option.
