I. Introduction to File Manager
File Manager DirectAdmin is a tool designed to use a user-friendly way and arrange functions in a reasonable way to help us manage files in hosting easily. Here, I will show you how to use File Manager DirectAdmin.
To open File Manager, from the left toolbar, select System Info & File -> File Manager
In the file manager there is an important file that is public_html and backup. The file public_html will contain the entire code of the website, each domain will have its own public_html file to contain the web code for that domain, so in the case of hosting with multiple domains we will follow the path My File/domains/name_domian/public_html to Upload the web code for that domain, the rest of the backup file will contain backups for you to restore when needed.
II Functions of file manager
When we right-click on a file, the file manager will display its functions such as:
1 Open file
2 Rename
3 Copy
4 Move
5 Permissions Settings
6 File security
7 Compression
8 Compress and Download
9 Delete
In addition, the file manager also has functions such as editing configuration files, selecting multiple files at once by ticking the boxes next to the file icon.
